Well…it’s that time of year again! We’re gearing up for our 3rd Annual Texas Music Seminar and are excited to bring you some updates and announcements!
The seminar will take place at the Hilton College Station & Conference Center in College Station, TX on December 3rd & 4th and is designed to give aspiring artists a full day of information and tools from industry experts to help them navigate the Texas music scene a little better. The entire seminar is centered around entry-level questions and answers in the form of presentations, speeches, panels, moderated Q&A and audience Q&A. While the bulk of the content will revolve around the Texas/Red Dirt Scene, all most all of it will be relavant to pretty much any independent country, bluegrass, Americana, folk, or southern rock musicians.

- Artist Management
- Radio Promotion
- Pitching to Talent Buyers
- Social Media
- Pre-Order Campaigns
- Finding Your Sound
- Revenue Management
- Submitting Content to Publications
We plan to add a few more sessions and the seminar will end with a panel of amazing artists; giving you the opportunity to hear their stories, pick their brain, and ask them questions! Then there will be an after party jam session at The Tap!
So what’s different from last year?
More Content: We’re expanding the seminar to two days! We plan to have sessions from 2PM-6:30PM on Monday as well as sessions from 9AM-6:30PM on Tuesday.
More Music: We’re adding a jam session to Monday night! You asked for moer opportunities to play and you got it! After our last session on Monday, everyone will break for dinner then we’ll have an acoustic stage and bar setup in the hotel ballroom.
More Panels: We’ve added more panels this year; which means more point of views on topics!
More Opportunities to Network: We plan to increase the opportunity to network. We’re adding name tags, ice-breakers, and socials!
Sponsorships: We’re opening up this year’s seminar to sponosorships. If you’re interested in finding out more, please email us at TexasMusicPickers@gmail.com. I think we have some really cool opportunities for businesses to get their brand, products, or services in front are seminar attendees.
We will have 250 tickets available this year and will open up sales for two-day tickets first, and then if any tickets remain after 30 days, we will open up individual day tickets. Ticket prices will be as followed:
- Two-Day Tickets: $155
- Monday Ticket: $60 (subject to availability)
- Tuesday Ticket: $120 (subject to availability)
*sales tax will also be added
Tickets will go on sale next week! The seminars the last two years have sold out in advance and expect it do the same this year; so don’t wait to get those tickets!
