It’s time to shine those boots up and head to the dancehall…
Josh Ward has released the first single “All About Lovin’”, from his new album “More than I Deserve”, and this one will have you all about grabbing someone to tear up the dance floor!
“All About Lovin'” is #26 on the Texas Music Spotify Chart this week and increasing in streams steadily. Ward expressed his excitement on the new single and upcoming album with TMP recently. Described by him as “a feel good” tune that is the “perfect song for summer”, the new track is indeed just that with suggestive lines such as “Let’s pretend we’re seventeen…” and “Let’s go lose all track of time…” tied together with a fun flirtin’ chorus:
‘Cause it’s all about lovin’
All about huggin’
All about holdin’ you tight
And it’s all about kissin’
Thinkin’ about nothin’
All about lovin’ tonight
The catchy upbeat song was written Brice Long, Terry McBride, and Chris Stapleton…”killer” songwriters in Ward’s book, expressing that it was both an honor and a privilege of his to record their work. The guitar riffs and the bridge of minor notes with Ward’s traditional honky tonk vocals on the track make for another solid single from the Houston, Texas native. The track was produced and engineered by Greg Hunt and Drew Hall of Rosewood Studios who have worked with other notable artists such as Pat Green and LeAnn Rimes.
The new album, “More Than I Deserve” is scheduled for release May 4. Ward and the band “can’t wait for people to hear the new music and the new show. Hope we make them proud with what we’ve done on this album,” he shared. Ward has multiple CD release parties we can look forward to including one in Conroe and another in Corpus Christi that was announced this week. It was also recently announced that Ward will be added to the list of artists to record a Live at Billy Bob’s Texas album. The live album recording is scheduled for June 29.
