Parker McCollum Pulls on the Strings of our “Pretty Heart” with New Single

Parker McCollum has had one of the most incredible rises through our scene since dropping his head-turning debut album “The Limestone Kid” back in 2015.  Between selling out venues all across Texas and Oklahoma, headlining major festivals, touring all across the U.S., amassing nearly have a million monthly listeners on Spotify, and recently signing with Universal Music Group, the Conroe, TX native has made a name for himself through hustle, grind, and working his ass of on the road and in the studio.

It’s been just a hair shy of two years since McCollum last dropped music to his listeners. His sophomore “Probably Wrong” has accumulated over 35 million combined streams and no doubt took the Limestone Kid from a “Texas act” to a regional one, and eventually beyond. Now with a massive fan base of ticket buyers, streamers, and social media followers, listeners have been anxious for new tunes…well the wait is finally over!  McCollum has dropped his new single “Pretty Heart”!

Packing a smokey track built with twangy strings and rhythmic drums,  McCollum takes us through his remorseful mentality of an ended relationship.  He reflects on his actions and share of the blame, realizing that his ability to break up with this seemingly perfect girl, warrants questioning his own character and integrity.

“What does that say about me, I can do you like I did,

that I could break an angel’s wings, what does that say about me”

What’s truly special about the song is that the chorus is a true hook.  It captures you and doesn’t let go.  You’re singing along by the second playthrough feeling it opening up already.  And the long drawn out notes of “you’re pretty hear-ear-eaar-eaaert” is something you can already see a couple thousand people singing along to in packed amphitheater (especially on the last one where the music breaks down).

Parker McCollum’s crazy journey has been a fun one watch, and with new music out, we’re looking forward to seeing it continue onward and upward!

The single is out now on all digital platforms; you can also find it here on our TMP Spotify Playlist! Check it out below and let us know what you think!
