Singer-songwriter Deryl Dodd shared a beautiful song last night that really made me stop and think. I highly recommend that you read his post below and then give the song a listen and consider sharing it with your friends and family. We’ve all been in a place like this but some need a reminder that they have someone who will be there for them.
“’Is Anybody Out There’ is a song I wrote years ago, during a dark period.
People go through many things in life. It seems as though there is always a test of some kind. Have faith. Know that you are not alone. There is somebody out there that feels like you. God is always here. God made “people”, not one “person”, so we could take care of each other.
Shootings and unnecessary tragedy seem to be happening more and more. It’s not my normal, and I pray it’s not your normal, either.
If someone you know is in a fragile emotional state. If you are aware that they are trying to handle a heavy load at this time in their life, do everything you can to let them know they are not alone and they can get help. Emotional health and stability is so important. It can save someone’s life.
Rest in peace Nancy Churchwell, you were loved.”
